This song board was created by Stefanie Olson, M.S., CCC-SLP, ATP, with the Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Rehabilitation Services, in Cooperation with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services. Use the song board as a visual language support, pointing to the pictures as you sing along. Allow your students to turn over the letter symbols to clap symbols as you go through the song. Leave the song board out where your students can play with it during free time. They may surprise you by how they independently interact with the language on the song board.
